The Indian Green Building Council, part of the Confederation of Indian Industry, runs one of the country's most recognized green building rating systems. A Gold rating is a strong, independently assessed level of achievement.
For a developer, certification is a credential. For an occupier, it is more practical than that. It signals how the building is likely to behave once your team is inside it.
Energy
Certification rewards an efficient building envelope, efficient systems, and on-site renewable generation. In day-to-day terms, that points toward lower energy demand and a lighter operating profile.
Water
Green-rated buildings are designed to use water responsibly, through treatment and reuse, rainwater harvesting, and efficient fixtures. That reduces dependence on fresh municipal water.
Indoor environment
A healthier indoor environment, supported by fresh-air provisions and monitoring, is part of the criteria. It is also one of the clearest links between a building and how people feel at work.
Why it matters to you
A certified Grade-A green building is something your facilities and ESG teams can stand behind, and it supports employee wellbeing without you having to retrofit it yourself.
